Terms and Conditions
1. Registration fees
Students who register with the Centre for the first time would enjoy free registration. Should the student decide to stop and subsequently rejoin the same subject (regardless whether the class with be taught by the same teacher), he/she will have to pay a $100 re-registration fee.
2. Registration procedures
Students may pay either a $100 part payment, with the balance to be paid before the student attends his/her first lesson or full payment upon registration. For ongoing classes, should the student decide to cancel the tuition, the fee paid will not be refundable or transferable. For classes that the Centre is not able to commence one month after the student has registered, the student may choose to have a full refund or have the fee transferred to any other subjects.
3. Payment of fees
Fees paid are based on the number of lessons conducted and not on calendar month. Fees are collected on an 8-week basis. Students who wish to continue with the tuition must pay their fees on the 8th lesson (for once a week classes) or 16th (for twice a week classes). A late payment fee of $25 will be levied for students who pay after the 9th week.
4. Missed lesson during holidays or examination period
Students who missed their lessons during the holidays or examination period have 3 payment options:
- Every 2 lessons missed in the same class counted as 1 OR
- Attend make-up lessons with a month (from the date of the missed lesson) and missed lessons would be charged as usual OR
- Pay a re-registration fee of $100 when they want to re-join the class.
5. Missed lesson without medical certificate
Should a student miss a lesson (provided there are no changes in the timing of the lesson), that lesson would be counted regardless of the reasons for the student’s absence, including school activities. However, the student may attend a make-up class for the same subject, at any other timing and branch (subject to availability).
6. Replacement teachers
The Centre, reserves the right to get a replacement teacher to conduct the lesson should the original teacher be sick or not available. For students who refused to attend, the lesson would still be charged.
7. Termination of tuition
Students must give the centre two week’s notice in writing should they decide to stop attending classes. Any student, who fails to do so, must pay the Centre an additional one-week’s tuition fees.
8. Refund for unattended lessons
There will be no refund for lessons unattended should the student decide to stop halfway.
9. Holiday or examination break
No holiday or examination break would be granted. There will be no lessons on the eve, first and second day of Chinese New Year. Lessons that fall on these days will not be replaced and it will be counted.
10. Promotions
Our promotions are governed by the centre’s discretion and may be terminated without prior notice. Kindly consult our receptionist for all queries.
